Meg Hansen owns and manages Pierson A. Harleth & Co., LLC – a strategic communications firm in Windsor, Vermont.
In the fall of 2015, the Republican National Committee selected Meg as Vermont’s inaugural Fellow for the Republican Leadership Initiative (RLI). After completing the fellowship, she founded Pierson A. Harleth & Co. with her ever-supportive husband Rick (who is an academic librarian at Dartmouth). The firm’s clients include the Republican Caucus of the Vermont House of Representatives in Montpelier.
Meg writes a weekly opinion column on political and cultural criticism for the Eagle Times (based in Claremont, NH). She is a Contributor at The Liberty Conservative and has written for American Thinker.
She graduated with an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College (2014), where she specialized in the socio-political construction and historiography of deviant and marginalized women in American culture. She holds the foreign equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (2007) and a postgraduate diploma in Fashion and Visual Studies (2009).
Previously, she served as a Teaching Assistant in freshmen writing and literature courses at Dartmouth College. She is also an elected Board Member of the MALS Alumni Council, Dartmouth College.
Meg was born in India and boarded her first flight at the age of seven months. Needless to say, she flew before she walked. She has lived across the globe in the US, Middle East and Europe but Vermont is by far the most beautiful, peaceful and inspiring place she has called home.
She feels honored and enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve her fellow Americans by engaging in meaningful ways with the mainstream politico-cultural apparatus.
