About

Meg Hansen owns and manages Pierson A. Harleth & Co., LLC – a strategic communications firm based in West Windsor, Vermont.

Meg graduated with an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College (2014), where she specialized in the socio-political construction and historiography of marginalized and deviant women in American culture. She holds the foreign equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (2007) and a postgraduate diploma in Fashion and Visual Studies (2009).

She writes an opinion column on politico-cultural issues for the Eagle Times (based in Claremont, NH). Previously, she served as a Teaching Assistant in freshmen writing and literature courses at Dartmouth College. She is also an elected Board Member of the MALS Alumni Council, Dartmouth College.

In the fall of 2015, the Republican National Committee selected Meg to represent Vermont as its inaugural Fellow in the Republican Leadership Initiative.

After completing the fellowship, she founded Pierson A. Harleth & Co. with her ever-supportive husband Rick (who is an academic librarian at Dartmouth).

The firm’s current clients include the Republican Caucus of the Vermont House of Representatives in Montpelier.

Meg was born in India and boarded her first flight at the age of seven months. Needless to say, she flew before she walked. She has lived across the globe in the US, Middle East and Europe but Vermont is by far the most beautiful, peaceful and inspiring place she has called home.

She feels honored and enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve the political process of the state and her fellow Vermonters.
